Diversity Scholarships

What do we mean by a "diverse writer”? Diversity includes a range of experiences from things like gender, sexual orientation, and race, to religion, abilities, and economic background — anything that lends a different lens through which a writer might view (and therefore respond to) the world.
How much of an offset do you need in order to attend? Applicants may request financial assistance in any amount up to $2,000.
You must submit a workshop application in order to apply for a scholarship!
Workshop and scholarship applications will be evaluated according to the following schedule:
- Received by December 1, notified by January 1.
- Received by February 1, notified by March 1.
- Received by April 1, notified by May 1.
We encourage all scholarship candidates to apply as early as practicable. All scholarship money will be allocated by May 1, and no scholarship applications will be taken after the April 1 deadline.
